Such plants are the cleanest and the most reliable energy source in the world since no additives, chemicals and artificial materials are used. In addition, resources can be stored and used according to the needs.
General informatıon about benefits of hydroelectric power plants are as follow:

• Play an important role to decrease Turkey's high dependence on imported fossil fuel resources.

• It is one of the most efficient power generation system with its feature which can convert 90% of the existing energy into electrical energy.

• Operating and maintenance costs are very low and comparing to thermal power plants are much more long lasting projects

• Create the best system of electricity generation to meet peak electricity demands.

• Perform much less greenhouse gas emission compared to fossil-fueled power plants and they are considered to be effective solution against global warming.

• Hydroelectric power plants depending on the state of rainfall and availability of water resources, in the long term provides cheap and sustainable electricity production.

1.Catak-Deliktas Regulator And Hydroelectric Power Plant

In the Border District of Van Province Catak, hydraulic potential energy of Catak water which is between 1.490- 1.360 meters codes converted into electrical energy and scheduled to contribute the economy of country. Characteristic of Project as follow;
Project Flow (m³/s) :2x21,25+10 =52,50
Installed power ( MW) :2x20,030+9,440 =49,50
The annual production ( GWh ) :157.418

2.BESIK REGULATOR AND HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT

In the Border District of Van Province Bahcesaray, hydraulic potential energy of Stream of Mucus which is between 1.756- 1.635 meters codes converted into electrical energy and scheduled to contribute the economy of country. Characteristic of Project as follow;
Project Flow (m³/s) :2x10+2,5 =22,50
Installed power ( MW) :2x10,075+2,500 =22,65
The annual production ( GWh ) : 77.036

3.TUGSUS REGULATION AND HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT

In the Border District of Van Province Bahcesaray, hydraulic potential energy of Stream of Mucus which is between 1.601- 1.480 meters codes converted into electrical energy and scheduled to contribute the economy of country. Also BESIK HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT ( HPP) is next coming Project. Characteristic of Project as follow;

4-GOKAY 1 REGULATOR AND HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT

In the Border District of BITLIS Province Hizan, hydraulic potential energy of Stream of Hizan which is between 1.345- 1.203 meters codes converted into electrical energy and scheduled to contribute the economy of country. Characteristic of Project as follow;
Project Flow (m³/s) :2x11,35+4,80 =27,50
Installed power ( MW) :2 x 12,85+5,45 =31,15
The annual production ( GWh ) : 94.340

5-GOKAY 2 REGULATOR AND HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT

In the Border District of BITLIS Province Hizan, hydraulic potential energy of Stream of Hizan which is between 1.200- 1.125 meters codes converted into electrical energy and scheduled to contribute the economy of country. Gokay 2 project is coming after Gokay 1 project. Characteristic of Project as follow;

İnstalled power ( MW) :2 x 7,97+3,30 =19,24
The annual production ( GWh ) : 61.088
